Christian Inspiration: Lovingkindness of the Lord

 Hearfelt Devotions

Today’s Christian inspiration is a reminder of the lovingkindness of the Lord.

There is often a misconception that once a Christian, life will be easy breezy. If you are one that once shared that same belief, you too quickly discovered it not to be the case.

I hear in my head right now, the words of my pastor as he likes to say: “Life is life for everyone.” And how true it is. We are going to have our share of ups and downs during our life on this earth.

No doubt about it: When the pain and suffering, trials, hardships, and struggles blow in like a storm, life can be just plain hard to deal with – and confusing!

Lovingkindness of the Lord

The lovingkindness of the Lord is still at work even in our struggles.

Gregg Laurie at Harvest.org had a devotional today called ‘An Everlasting Love.’

He shares some thoughts and insights on this very topic of dealing with tribulation in the world we live in, while at the same time sharing with us hope.

But know this: whatever God does or allows to happen in your life as His child is motivated by His everlasting love for you…

God loves us. Don’t rush over that, and don’t misunderstand it. Let it sink in. God loves you. Human love is fickle. It fluctuates. It comes and goes. But God’s love for us is consistent and never changes. God’s love for us is everlasting. (read the complete devotional here)

The truth is: Just because we have struggles in life, doesn’t mean God has stopped loving us!

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”
Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV

Do you take the time to acknowledge the lovingkindness of the Lord in the midst of your struggles?

If you do then Like and share some encouragement with those you love…
